Secure Folder is mainly intended to help you keep sensitive data away from prying eyes. It works by protecting selected folders. Various protection levels are available. Thus, besides locking a given folder, you can also hide it or encrypt it. Unfortunately, the application uses a master password but does not allow you to protect various folders using different passwords for each of them.

The application has an intuitive graphic user interface from which you can easily manage your protected folders. It allows you to add new folders and set their protection levels. Moreover, you can activate or deactivate security for a group of folders. Another way, much quicker than using the programs control panel, is to use the program’s commands integrated into your system’s context menu.

Secure Folder also comes with a set of extra features barely related to the program’s main function. However, they add extra value to the application. They include Application Blocker, Batch It, Drive Manager, Power Switch, Privacy Sweep, Screen Capture, StartUp Manager, Troubleshoot System, Website Blocker, and Write Protect USB.

In general, Secure Folder has the advantage of being light and easy to use. However, it is not as sophisticated as other similar tools. Just to give you an example, it does not allow protecting individual files or creating protected virtual drives.
